DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reservoir Engineering 

Analyze, interpret, and evaluate reservoir data obtained from reservoir monitoring, logs, cores, PVT, field tests and reservoir performance to determine reservoir parameters, oil and gas in place and reserves.evaluate data acquisition options and recommend the optimal and cost-effective option. Assist in the planning and implementation of data acquisition programs.Design and recommend appropriate methods for optimal oil and gas recovery and production.Conduct performance monitoring and production data evaluation of reservoir under exploitation, and perform economic evaluation and analysis of oil and gas fields for exploration and development.Conduct prospect evaluation studies to assist geoscientists in the assessment of technical and commercial viability of oil and gas prospects.Perform reservoir engineering calculations to support studies being undertaken.Provide estimate of recoverable hydrocarbon reserves using industry accepted techniques and software tools and classify the reserves based on industry standard guidelines (e.g. SPE PRMS).Conduct analytical and numerical studies to predict future performance of oil and gas reservoir.Perform reservoir characterization studies by integrating available well and seismic data, among others, to build geologically consistent reservoir models.Conduct reservoir modeling and simulation studies to provide more robust models for predicting future performance to evaluate development options. Assist the Well Testing Engineer in the design and implementation of well testing programs.Analyze and interpret well test results to determine reservoir characteristics and performance for reservoir modeling and production forecasting.Perform other technical and administrative tasks that may be assigned by immediate superior. 

Risks Management

Identity technical and operational risks that have critical impact on petroleum projects and recommend appropriate mitigating measuresIdentify risks and evaluate options to mitigate potential impact to project cost.

Cross-Functional Performance

Collaborate with other concerned Units in various reservoir engineering requirements such as but not limited to recoverable hydrocarbon reserves, petroleum reservoir performance, etc.Collaborate with other Departments/Units in securing the required permits, endorsement, approval of project proponent and implementation of related petroleum projects.Provide inputs in the conduct of risk assessment in coordination with HSSE Department.

Continuous Development

Upgrade technical competency through higher education scholarships, secondment, review of technical papers, participation in internal trainings and attendance in seminars, workshops, conferences and specialized training programsInitiate and recommend revisions to update relevant procedures manuals (procedures, strategies and policies) based on the latest industry developments and standards.

The company likewise owns and operates a private commercial port – the Energy Supply Base (ESB) – in Mabini, Batangas which provides berthing, cargo handling, storage and warehousing facilities to its clients.
