PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST

Job Summary:

Purchase materials, goods, and services to ensure that the company's operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

Receives Purchase Requisition from material planning or thru MRP system.Releasing of Purchase Order to suppliers.Ensure that delivery date of purchase material is align to the required need date to avoid downtime in production.Manage the open PO and make no ageing PO to suppliers.Monitor material criticality to concern department/area for alternative sources and prepare contingencies to ensure continuous material supply.Managing problematic items and MRB.Assess and evaluate suppliers and contribute to performance reviews to ensure supplier's continuous improvement.Resolution of all operational issues, problems and concerns that may be encountered through coordination with other personnel, other departments/areas, and superior, as may be necessary.Monitor the account payable and make sure supplier will pay on-time.Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications to ensure flawless support.
