Procurement Assistant

Procures capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects in accordance with the technical specifications of the end users and within the approved budget, taking into account the total cost of ownership;Writes and distributes bid invitations or requests for proposals;Receives and analyzes bids, quotes and proposals;Coordinates with end-users the technical evaluation of the proposals and collaborates with internal clients;Negotiates price and terms of agreement such as payment terms, warranty and delivery;Prepares and secures approval of purchase orders and contracts;Monitors and ensures the timely delivery of purchases and services as required by the end users;Administer purchase order and contracts from award to completion;Develops and maintains supplier partnerships to ensure competitive costs;Monitors and evaluates supplier performance and develops possible alternative source of supply;Compiles and maintains records and generates reports of all purchases on a regular basis for submission to the Procurement Manager and Procurement Head.

Qualifications:

Graduate of Civil Engineering;At least 3 years experience in CAPEX Procurement and Contracts Administration;Possesses intermediate to thorough knowledge and understanding of engineering concepts, International Commercial (INCO) terms and amendments, and end-to-end procurement life cycle procedures, concepts, and techniques;Possesses intermediate to thorough proficiency on the following skills: Cost Analysis and Value Management, Strategic Negotiation, Business and Contract Writing, Hazardous Waste Management, Market Analysis and Detailed Unit Price Analysis for construction;Full-Time position available.
