Database Administrator (IT)

SUMMARY:  

This position is responsible for managing, maintaining, and administering the enterprise-wide databases and the company’s ERP and ancillary systems DB supporting all locations. Install, upgrade and manage database applications. Identify and analyze technical requirements and recommend appropriate applications or modifications in the database. 

 Job Responsibilities:  

● Responsible for the performance, integrity and security of all databases used in the organization.

● Responsible for backing up and restoring data (of all types), creation/maintenance of related policies and procedures.

● Design and document database architecture and data models (on the cloud and on-premise environments).

● Build database scheme, tables, procedures and permissions

● Optimize exponential data growth in the cloud and on-premise including data warehouses, data lakes and data analytics.

● Implementing performance tuning on the databases based on monitoring

● Re-balancing workloads across database servers based on monitoring

● Securing databases platforms and individual databases based on requirements and implementation

 Job Requirements:

 ● Bachelor’s/College degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunications), Computer Science/Management Information Systems, Mathematics or any Business-related courses.

● Experience maintaining an enterprise system such as SAP Hana (preferably with at least two years of experience with SAP)

● Experience in Database management and administration 

● Experience with SQL clustering technology, performance issues and tuning a plus

● Report design and development experience with SSRS, SSIS

● Good oral and written communications skills in English.
