QUALIFICATIONS

Education : Bachelor’s degree preferably in the field of Mass Communication, Visual Arts, Multimedia arts, Digital Arts, Development Communication, Communication Arts, Broadcast Journalism

Training : Preferably with at least 8 hours of relevant training on cinematography, video production, and video editing

Experience : Preferably with two (2) years of work experience related to TV Production, cinematography, and video editing

JOB DEscriptION

Carry out the creative / video framing, capturing actions, shooting angles, and composing shots in both studio and on location shoots.Manage the proper dumping of all raw video and audio materials.Check the functionality of all DOSTv equipment and conducts regular maintenanceHandle Live Streaming of DOSTv episodes on social media pages and website;Conduct editing of all assigned DOSTv broadcast materialsLead and archiving system of DOSTv episode/content;Assist in preparing DOSTv technical specificationConduct canvassing and purchasing of other DOSTv technical equipmentConduct installation, maintenance and inventory of DOSTv supplies and equipment;Operate and maintain the DOSTv servers;Perform other task that maybe assigned from time to time.

The Science and Technology Information Institute (STII), created in 1987 through EO 128 , is one of the 21 agencies of the Department of Science and Technology.  As the information and marketing arm of the DOST, we are responsible for: Establishing a science and technology (S&T) databank and library; Disseminating S&T information; and Providing training on (S&T) information. Our two main services are S&T information reference services and S&T promotion services. In terms of collection, we have the country’s biggest S&T library which links up all the DOST libraries in the country. We also package various S&T information materials (releases, publications, photos, videos) and collaterals in all platforms to reach our various audiences nationwide. We also established and manage the DOSTv, the Philippines’ S&T channel.
