External Audit - Assistant Manager

Responsibilities:

Manages audit engagements in accordance with auditing and accounting standardsRepresents the firm to the staff and clientsPrepares audit proposals ensuring that the audit plan is responsive to the client’s requirements and meets the established audit standardsManages and controls the execution of the audit engagementReviews the working papers for each client to identify the client’s accounting problems / audit issues and ensures that the work performed is in accordance with the generally accepted auditing standards and accounting principlesTrains the staff he/she supervisesevaluates and reviews the performance of the staff and discusses with them their areas of improvementInterviews job applicants and recommends the hiring of staffMay be tapped to be a trainor/resource speaker for in-houses training programsMay be assigned to do administrative tasks (e.g. Learning & Development, Risk Management)

Requirements

Must be a Certified Public AccountantCurrent or previous experience as an Assistant Manager rendering external audit services to local and multinational companiesWith at least 4 years experience in rendering external audit services to local and multinational companies
