Cash Planning & Forecast Manager

Overview

Manage the cash forecasting needs across various departments, including preparation and understanding of associated variance analyses between actual results and forecasted results.

Manage and produce reporting to provide essential information on cash forecasting including tracking of key metrics.

Track cash flow forecast results for actions to take, as well as escalations of significant variances.

Functions and Responsibilities

Manage cash flow forecasting including the preparation and support of the inputs into the Offline Model with upload into the Company’s cash flow forecasting system, as well as direct inputs into the Company’s cash flow forecasting system for the current month and a minimum of six months of cash flow projections.Work directly with various departments on obtaining updates to include the cash flow forecast.Work directly with the Director of Treasury and the company-wide cash flow forecasting process, including correlating the cash flow forecast to the financial budgets/forecasts produced by FP&A.Prepare and manage monthly variance analysis of actual cash flow results with the projected results as of the beginning of the month.Manage the waterfall analysis of variances and key metrics for managing company liquidity.Provide inputs into monthly Treasury review with the CFO. Manage and provide additional reports in the management of Company cash flows including trend reportsSummarize cash flow forecast results for presentation to Senior Management.Review cash flow projections for subsequent months to identify potential actions to take.Manage reporting functionality within Treasury and distribute of cash flow forecast reports to end users.Review daily activity to identify potential actions to take to meet cash flow forecasts working with other departments across the Company.Identify variances to the current month forecast on an intramonth basis to identify additional actions to be monitored and taken to meet cash flow forecast projections Escalate large variances as needed to drive resolution.Manage Watch List for additional actions to include and update in the cash flow forecast.Review the current month's cash flow forecast for daily ending balances for potential actions to be taken.Manage team members in assistance in meeting responsibilities.Develop and coach team members.Complete ad-hoc requests as needed.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Degree qualified in a quantitative discipline such as Finance or CFA, or equivalent professional qualificationAt least 6 – 10 years in Cash Forecast and Planning/Treasury experienceKnowledge of the regulatory environment related to liquidity management gained through significant experience in liquidity managementKnowledge of broader Asset and Liability Management principles and techniquesRobust awareness of the control environment requirements within financial servicesPractical treasury modeling and reporting experienceExcellent data analysis and interpretation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication, and presentation.Excellent team player with the ability to collaborate closely with all cross functions to deliver resultsWell organized and able to prioritize workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively
