The Senior IP Specialist plays a key role in managing the operation of the patent, design and trademark cases of the Mirandah group in the Philippines. The functions expected of the candidate include:

Job Responsibilities:

Manage the full spectrum of trademark work including pre-filing advice, conflict searches, application, prosecution and registration of patents, designs and trademarks;Review, analyse, advise and submit arguments on Office Actions, Examination Reports on patents, designs and trademarks;Review draft DAUs and renewal forms, attend to filing of DAU and renewal forms;Liaise with the IPOPH and examiners whenever necessary;Liaise with other regulatory bodies, such as SEC, DTI, Plant Variety Office and Customs where relevant and necessary;Check eCorr and ensure all documents with deadlines are duly docketed and monitored;Mentor and supervise a team of junior staff, check drafts and documents;Undertake ad hoc administrative functions or assignments as may be required from time to time

Job Requirements:

Min. 5 to 8 years’ experience in IP work in the PhilippinesFamiliar with rules and requirements of patent, design and trademark filings and prosecution in the PhilippinesGood leadership, time management, organizational skills, able to handle volume work and pressure in a fast-paced environmentGood communication and writing skillsKnowledge of MS Office and other office management tools and applications
