Marine Claims Adjuster

As Marine Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for maintaining and processing Marine claims. You will process, review and evaluate Marine Claims. Recommends course/s of action required in the fair, adequate and prompt handling/settlement of aforesaid claims, considering the terms and conditions of the policy and its related warranties and causes.

Other duties and responsibilities:

Receives and stamps all claim documents submitted to Claims Department in support of the marine claims with the date of receipt and signs the manner.Records/inputs the title/description of the documents received in the designated fileVerifies policy coverage and detailsRegisters claims in the system and approves the same within the sanction/limits granted; sets-up appropriate loss reserves and regularly updating the same.Monitors and follows up the Insured submission of lacking information/documents thru the creation and transmittal of the system-generated first/second/third follow-up emails/letters in accordance with the prescribed schedule.Prepares reports in compliance with requirements of IC, ISAP and MICO Asset recovery management.Attends court hearings/briefings as witness for cases filed recovery.Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time
