TAX ACCOUNTANT-OPERATIONS AND TAX AUDIT

JOB SCOPE: 

Keep abreast of national tax laws and applicable regulations, and Company’s policies and procedures to add value and assist the Company in improving an organization’s operations leading to reasonable tax compliance at reasonable costs.Assist the Tax Head in safeguarding the Company’s assets by ensuring that regular filing and remittances of taxes to government agencies for national taxes (income tax, value added tax, Excise Tax, Expanded Withholding Tax, Withholding Tax on compensation, Final withholding Tax, Fringe Benefits Tax) are timely, reasonably accurate and have complete substantiating evidences without paying penalties, surcharge and interest.Help in the implementation of an effective filing system to comply with the existing document retention policy and to ensure availability of tax documents during the tax audits and tax assessments.Ensure accurate tax computation and prompt filing of documents as requested by Government Authorities during Audit.Ensure the reliability and integrity of tax information submitted to, as required by the tax authorities.Proactively participate in updating the Tax Manual, by reporting business gaps noted in the day to day operations, to ensure that business needs and recommended actions are properly considered in the Manual.Maintain the highest ethical and integrity standards in all internal and external dealings and internal and external relationships.Proactively participate in updating the Tax Manual, by reporting business gaps noted in the day to day operations, to ensure that business needs and recommended actions are properly considered in the Manual.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Graduate of any Business course preferably Accountancy or any accounting related course

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

Minimum 2 years experience in preparing tax returns for a Company including supporting documents; experience in local government unit taxation and audit, knowledgeable and updated on BIR rulings and regulations.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not requiredComputer literate ( MS Office) , Oracle or other ERP is desirable
