SALES AND MARKETING OFFICER (JAPANESE TRAVEL AND TOUR AGENCY)
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Handle and oversee all travel arrangements (air, lodgings etc.) and operations of clients (including ticketing and booking)Manage relationships with travel agencies, vendors and partnered establishments Negotiate contracts or rates with travel service providersProvide advice on travel documents, insurance, import/export regulations etc.Handle credit card programs and chargesAssist driver and admin staff in ensuring that the documents of the tour vehicles are up-to-date Process Travel and Entertainment reports and handle reimbursementsEnsure compliance in all aspects of travel proceduresDrive continuous improvement of travel programsConduct ocular visits at different establishments (tourist spots, restaurants, etc.)Prepare tour packages and market them to the Japanese and local marketParticipate in biddings of tourism-related projects from the Department of Tourism, Tourism Promotions Board, etc.Job Qualifications
College graduate of Business, Sales, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality or a related field Proven experience in the field Knowledge of local and international travel regulations, customs and currenciesKnowledge of Travel and Entertainment reporting and processingWide range of knowledge on different marketing strategiesProficient at MS Office Programs Flexible with time; willing to render overtime as neededBasic knowledge in ticketing and booking accommodation Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skillsWell-organized and reliableAn analytical mind with strong business acumenCustomer-oriented approachTraining in travel and tourism is a plusCultural sensitivity as there are foreign staff in the companyWhat we have to offer
