Qualifications:

Able to work with large data sets using MS Excel or any other spreadsheet softwareAble to demonstrate data analysis/modelling and interpretation skills and mathematical prowess (expect test during interview)Experience working with Tableau is a plusExceptional problem solving and analysis skillsExcellent written and oral communication skills - Good interpersonal and presentation skillsStrong organization skills, ability to track and manage multiple tasksHighly motivated, detail-oriented, critical thinker, hardworking, and honest Preferably 5 years of professional experience in the power industry particularly in electricity market and tradingMust have experience in commercial and/or power trading for at least 3 years

Job Description:

To support the team in managing the company’s supply portfolio, conducting market studies, forecasting electricity spot prices, and participating on new opportunities in the market (Reserve, Electricity Forwards Market, etc) Major responsibilities include:

Analyze market and portfolio supply-demand projections - Short, Mid and Long Term Price Forecasting (realtime, day ahead upto year-ahead and 5 year ahead)Assist in securing supply contracts and manage relationships with suppliersSupport the Supply unit in forecasting electricity prices and conducting Grid studiesUnderstanding the dynamics of the electricity market and evaluating opportunities for new technologiesPerform other research and analytic responsibilities as required
