Web Researcher

The Web Researcher is responsible for creating and updating profiles in the WorldCompliance database and performs research to validate and ensure quality of created/updated profiles.

Responsibilities:

Analyzes and comprehends information from the articles of the language monitored and then translates them into English Extracts detailed information from the provided articles/documentsKeeps customers’ private information confidentialPrepares production-related reports on regular basisConducts open web searches for targeted entities, determining the relevant information for the entityValidates information from the alerts using online systems and/ or open web researchUpdates tracking tool to reflect actual work progress and statusAccesses the client’s database through an online system and/or e-mail to receive records/ information coming from the clientProvides work-related assistance to colleagues as necessaryChecks updates, process flows, information and other records encoded on database and application regularly to ensure compliance with client specifications.

Requirements:

Graduate of any 4-5 year courseMust be a quick thinker and proficient in researchMust have excellent English oral and written communication skillsMust have good reading comprehension in the account monitoring language (foreign language)Must have good attention to detail and proof-reading skillsMust be able to learn and understand concepts of regulatory and financial risk including anti-money-laundering, financial crimes, bribery and corruption, drug-trafficking, terrorism as well as other crimes, as may be specified. Must have good business level understandingMust be computer-proficient specifically in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)Must be familiar with the Internet and Internet-based applications (e.g. emailing, technical writing, researching, etc.) which includes familiarity with Internet browsers like Google Chrome, and Microsoft EdgeWilling to work on siteWilling to work on shifting schedules
