Mechanical Design Engineers

GF Micro Optics Philippines, Inc., serves as the main manufacturing facility of its mother global photonics company in the United States of America. It manufactures components, devices, and materials for optoelectronics and telecommunication applications.

It is formerly known as NSG Micro Optics Philippines, Inc. (NMO). It was acquired by American company, Go!Foton Holdings, Inc. from Nippon Sheet Glass Co. Ltd. (NSG) - Japan. NMO was incorporated in 2003 and was amended in 2009 under GFP in accordance with the Corporation Code of the Philippines.

We are currently in need of MECHANICAL ENGINEERS in-charge of product development.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Graduate of BS Mechanical Engineering (preferably with professional license)Experienced user of AutoCADMust have strong leadership and analytical skillsMust have good oral communication skillsWilling to work on site in Biñan City, LagunaFresh graduates are also welcome to apply

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Our mechanical engineers may be assigned in any of the following groups:

1. For Innovation, Development, and Technical Group

Design and develop new products and technology installationMonitors progress of different product development across all production sectionFacilitates prototyping, registration, and qualifications of new products under developmentProvides technical information in the design, conceptualization, development, and manufacture of jigs, fixtures, partsDetermines appropriate method to be used in fabrication/manufacture of jigs, fixtures, partsIdentifies and evaluates machine/equipment necessary for products, station innovation, and development

2. Mechanical Engineering Section

Designs and develops new products, particularly for the fabrication and/o manufacture of hardware by studying customer requirement.Provides technical information/assistance in mechanical design and conceptualization, development and manufacture of jigs, fixtures, and/or metal/plastic parts.Assists in Suppliers evaluation relating to mechanical design, tooling, fabrication/manufacture of jigs, fixtures, and/or metal/plastic parts.Performs calculations and estimates cost for rough material needs.Recommends design modification for existing and/or new parts.
