Asst. Merchandise Manager (FootLocker)

The Asst. Merchandise Manager will be responsible for curating the country’s product range for different distribution channels. Also responsible for placing buys, monitoring sell-thru, and ensuring healthy inventory levels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors shipments in coordination with the Merchandising Supervisor.Ensures timely product launches and activations in coordination with the Marketing team.Prepares the quarterly sales analysis and buying guide.Works with the Brand Manager in placing buys driven by the OTB and guided by the sales analysis report.Assists the Brand Manager in preparation for the trade shows.Prepares the catalogues and order forms for each retailer based on product segmentation.Prepares monthly product bulletins and shares with the store and head office employees.Provides product technology information to be used for sales staff training.Ensures optimal inventory levels in the warehouse and in stores.Monitors sell-thru and proposes quick strategies for stock-turn maximization.Recommends pricing and markdown to the Brand Manager.Monitors ambassador and influencer pull-outs in coordination with the Marketing team.Oversees product seeding and spearheads product samples selling events for depletion.Performs other functions as may be assigned by superiors from time to time.

The Ideal Candidate:

College Graduate in Business Management or any related fieldMust be experienced in retail merchandising including buying, pricing, and inventory managementAt least 3-5 years of experience as a supervisor or assistant manager in the retail businessExcellent in oral and written communicationStrong presentation skillsStrong financial acumen and analytical skillsExceptional organizational and multitasking skillsAdept in Microsoft Office programs, especially in ExcelGood interpersonal relationship and leadership skillsAttentive to details and always proactiveMust be sports enthusiast
