MERCHANDISING ASSISTANT

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising, Retail, Marketing, Sales, or equivalentProven working experience in merchandisingStrong listening, presentation and decision making skillsExperienced Merchandiser to produce sales by providing point-of-purchase and shelf management servicesHighly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivateExperience in whole sale or retail industry would be an advantage

Job Descriptions:

Produce layout plans for stores and maintain store shelves and inventoryMaximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriatelyPlan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers’ expectations and company’s objectivesCoordinate and communicate with company buyers on what items to purchase for a store's inventoryWork closely with the store's marketing team to ensure that products are given effective promotional attentionAnalyze sales figures, customers reactions, and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stockCollaborate with buyers, suppliers, distributors, and analysts to negotiate prices, quantities, and time-scalesSet various sales goals and work with the division managers and other employees to ensure that those goals are metKeep up with competitors' products and prices, set promotional goals, train distribution staff, and develop relationships with the marketing teamLead a team of inventory or warehouse workers to receive and record new stock as it comes in and move stock onto trucks or store shelves as needed-
