(Work base: Head Office, Cebu City)

Job Description:

·        Complying with data privacy laws and regulations. This includes coordination with the National Privacy Commission on reportorial requirements, implementing data protection measures, submitting regulatory requirements, and managing privacy incidents.

·        Formulating company’s policy on data protection and security in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

·        Conducts annual data privacy-related training for all employees.

·        Ensuring the Company’s overall compliance to risk, contractual, legal, and regulatory bodies on matters pertaining to permits, regulatory requirements and other compliances.

·        Provide leadership to the team in achieving the department goal by guaranteeing the company complies with related outside regulatory requirements; and, internal policies and procedures.

·        Perform other legal related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Graduate of Bachelor of Laws / Juris Doctor and a member of the Philippine Bar.

·        Knowledgeable on data privacy laws, legal and regulatory compliance, and has basic knowledge and application of relevant Philippine laws and legal concepts;

·        Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive and confidential information;

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail;

·        Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team;

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office or related writing and presentation software;

·        Has relevant experience in handling/reviewing contracts and other legal documents;

·        Minimum of one year experience working as data privacy and compliance officer
