Neurophysiology Technician

JOB DEscriptION:

Assists physician in performing procedures and/or performs preliminary and/or specific procedures;Assists the Ancillary Services Aide in preparing and cleaning of equipment or instrument and supply or material needed for procedure;Ensures that equipment or instruments are functioning properly; reports any defect or malfunction to Department Head;Ensures the materials or supplies needed for procedures are available;Encodes procedures and prepares results in the absence of clerk;Maintains appropriate records and logbooks; andPerforms other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Department Head.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Nursing, Pharmacy/Pharmacology, Science & Technology, Physical Therapy/Physiotherapy, Psychology or equivalentCollege graduate of any Allied Health CourseUnder board Respiratory Therapy graduatesProficient in MS Word, Excel programsPreferably with experience in Neurophysiological procedures (Polysomnography, EEG, EMG-NCV)Willing to do rotating shift wokNo work experience requiredFull-Time position(s) available
