GENERAL VETERINARIAN (PET HOUSES CO.)

Job Responsibilities:

Provides examination, diagnosis and treatment to animal’s medical issues. Promote preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations, treatment plans, prognosis and educating clients on positive diet, training and lifestyle of petPrescribe medication and advise pet owners on nutrition, preventative and general care. Conducting laboratory tests on specimens, diagnostic imaging and ultra sound tests to diagnose medical conditions and determine the best treatmentPerforming Soft Tissue & Orthopedic surgeries, dressing and treating wounds, and prescribing medication. Improving patients’ dental health by performing checkups, and cleaning and extracting teeth. Administer vaccinations and euthanizing patients.Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies and procedures. Maintain medical records. documenting and updating forms, diseases reports and others animal reports related.Supervise nursing care of post-surgical patients as well as clinic medical patients. Assist senior/chief veterinarian in defining and implementing an effective rabies control program.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.Candidates must be a Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree holder.Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Appropriate state licensure. Current valid license to practice in their country of origin. Current valid license and eligibility to obtain a valid license, to practice in the Kingdom of SaudiMinimum of five-year (5) practice in general veterinary disciplines, both surgical and medical. Experience conducting various types of surgeries, vaccinations and health checks on animals.Ability to make prudent decisions regarding the welfare and well-being of animals. Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using the simple language. documented postgraduate or continuing education.Extensive experience in small veterinary medicine and surgery is required. Current inoculations for both tetanus and rabies. Strong affinity and patience for animals.Knowledge of medical equipment (e.g. X-Ray machines, radiography) and anesthesia.
