Job Description:

Responsible for the set-up and operation of survey equipment on, and/or leading, projects of medium to high complexity.This may include responsibility for the execution of some positioning and navigation and data acquisition tasks.Ultimately responsible for: the set-up, interfacing, networking, testing, operation, repair, and maintenance of survey equipment; the compilation of engineering/survey reports; and the appropriate QC of data and reports.Responsible for all engineering-related aspects of the project, including the supervision/training of more junior team members.

Requirements:

Preference will be given to candidates who have a university degree in electronic or electrical engineering, combined with proven offshore experience (5 years min) in either marine geophysical (analogue and / or digital) survey acquisition, or marine subsea construction / positioning – or preferably both.It is expected that this would have been in support of the marine oil & gas, offshore wind farm, hydrographic, or submarine cable industries.Proven experience with surface and subsea positioning systems as a minimum, and preferably also subsea analogue or digital seismic survey data acquisition systems.AUV operational and payload systems experience is highly desirable.Good ability in verbal and written English (technical) language is required.IMCA Job Function criteria for this role will be applied to the review process.
