Technician II - Service

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate must possess at least Vocational Diploma/Short Course Certificate/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or equivalent.Must have NC II in Mechanical/Electrical/Welding Programs or Registered Master Electrician or equivalent.At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.Required Skill(s): Asset Management, Environment, Health and Safety, Tools Management, Business Systems Skill, Genset Servicing Skill, Cost Management, Machine Servicing Skill, Communication Skill, Equipment Operation, Presentation Skill, Product Knowledge, Mechanical System Knowledge

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides service for the repair and disassembly/assembly of machine/genset electrical components, evaluation on reusability of critical parts, measurements of dimensions, tolerances and alignment, prepares service report and survey, conducts preventive maintenance and technical analysis 1 within Service operational procedures and guidelines with objective of making units operational and achieving customer satisfaction.Responds to customer needs and accurately performs required servicing job.Performs scheduled Preventive Maintenance on machines/power systems to maintain high equipment availability, prevent major breakdown, and minimize unnecessary repairs.Prepares and submits manual/formal service reports, liquidation, job time cards, and other documents.Assists on actual and hands on training for Technicians, OJTs and Cadet Engineers.Conducts visual inspection (Technical Analysis Level 1), and assists on machines/power systems operational and diagnostic testing (Technical Analysis Level 2).Performs necessary repairs/overhauling on machines/power systems components and systems (lubrication, cooling, intake/exhaust, fuel and electrical).
