PURCHASING OFFICER
QUALIFICATIONS:
A graduate of any engineering, business-related, or relevant courses.Minimum of five (5) years of proven work experience as a Procurement Officer in a Manufacturing or Processing Plant. Preferably possessing an existing big network of suppliers in the manufacturing industry/ construction is a must.End to End procurement cycle and materials planning.Ability to identify and select suppliers that offer the best value between quality and money.Computer literate (spreadsheets, word processing, etc.), Knowledge or Familiarity with Enterprise resource planning (ERP System).Possessed excellent negotiation skills.Good networking and time management skills.Duties and Responsibilities:
Researching potential vendors/suppliers including price, performance, quality, and discounts to achieve reduced operational cost.Compare and evaluate offers from suppliersNegotiate contract terms of agreement and pricingTrack orders and ensure timely deliveryReview quality of purchased productsResponsible for the preparation and processing of Purchase Orders and documents in accordance with the Company’s purchasing procedures.Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoicesPrepare reports on purchases, including cost analysesMonitor stock levels and place orders as needed.Maintain strong coordination with suppliers and third-party service provider for the proper / on-time release and delivery of non-trade items.Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.Build and maintain positive and long-term supplier relations.Monitor open purchase orders for all non-trade orders to ensure on-time deliveries.Build a database of supplier’s profile and their products.In charge of the supplier accreditation processAttend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends.Performs other duties as maybe assigned.
