Over-all Responsibilities / General Function :
Performs geochemical and physical tests of all samples from Mine and Mill Production; records and signs analysis/test results; and assists with a variety of special laboratory projects.
Key Responsibilities
Record all received samples and monitor the flow of every process.Execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations, and interpret findings.Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject data using refined scientific methods.Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.Maintain equipment, record downtime, and report all malfunctions to the manager to ensure immediate action.Supervise fire and wet assay processes.Assist in ordering laboratory supplies.Checking of every COA released to the customer.Ensure workers under your supervision are aware of all known or reasonably foreseeable health and safety hazards within the working area.Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.Investigate any incident/accident that occurs in his area of responsibility and submit a report to the Safety Dept.Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Operational Control so that it is carried out to the required standard with minimum risk to the person, equipment, or materials.Integrated Management System Function:
