Job Summary: The Pre-Sales Technical Support Engineer (Lenovo) will be assigned to provide Consultation, Design Services, and Pre-Sales Technical Support to Sales Team(s) as well as Re-Seller(s). Focusing on Cisco Product(s) - the incumbent will partner with Customer(s) via Email and Voice Support in providing recommendation(s) on Networking Solution(s) as well as Server and/or Storage Solution(s). Interaction(s) would also include providing Answer(s) on General Pre-Sales Question(s) and Conducting Assurance for Technical Validation and Configuration Approval(s).
Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:
Responsible for (but Not Limited to) the Cisco Architecture, Routing and Switching, and Data Center Technology; Provide Pre-Sales Design, Building and Validation of BoMs (Build Of Materials)Consult with Customer(s) to Recommend Networking Solution(s) as well as Server and/or Storage Solution(s); Utilize Manufacturer Provided Tool(s) to Validate Complete and Compatible Parts ListProvide Answer(s) on General Pre-Sales Question(s) based on the Information Provided By Vendor(s) and Manufacturer(s)Provide the Exact or Closest Comparable Item(s) and Part(s) based on Product Description and Specification; Explain the Features and Advantages of Product(s); Provide Side-by-Side Comparison with Competing Product(s) and Brand(s) or Vendor(s); Conduct Assurance for Technical Validation and Configuration Approval(s)Adheres to Service Level Agreement(s) and Log all Call(s)Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree - Related Course(s) with at least 1YEAR MINIMUM of Related Experience in a BPO Setting or Similar and Related EnvironmentStrong English Communication Skills (Oral and Written) with Good Listening and Comprehension SkillsStrong Knowledge in Cisco's Routing/Switching and/or Data Center Technologies; Strong Knowledge in Computer, Server and Storage, Networking and/or Software TechnologiesKnowledgeable in Microsoft Office Tool(s) (MS OUTLOOK)Flexible to Work various Shift(s) in Order to Accommodate US Business Hour(s), Render Overtime Hour(s) as NeededTemporary Work-at-Home Arrangement (Should be Willing to Report On-Site as Required by the Business)Preferred Qualification(s): 1) Demonstrate Knowledge and Skills in Networking Fundamentals, Basic Computer Concept(s), Computer Networking Terminology, Inter-Networking Technology, TCP/IP Protocols, LAN/WAN Technologies, Security Principles and Practices, Network Design and Implementation; 2) Experience with Recommending Solution(s), Reviewing and Matching of Specification(s), and Creating Build of Materials (BoM's) based on Customer Requirement(s); 3) Product Familiarization with Cisco Product(s) primarily with Wired and Wireless Product(s) and/or Data Center Product(s); 4) Technical Experience in a Pre-Sales Technical Support Environment and Function/Capacity (Support for Cisco Product Lines)
