Junior CAD Design Engineer

I. JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, as Design Engineer your primary role is to use your technical knowledge, mathematical and design skills to create innovative products and solutions for clients. You shall be involved in the initial concept, design, development and management of various projects as directed by the Company. We expect you to have a strong technical knowledge, as well as problem solving, communication, leadership and project management skills.

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES

Attend online client meetings to establish requirement.Create design proposal based upon client needs and engineering best practices.Prepare and conduct presentation for the developed Product.Discuss and alter designs to adopt client requests.Create engineering and production drawings based upon the approved design.Produce Prototypes for testing and design verifications using inhouse 3D printing facilities.Prepare product documentation including but not limited to, BOM, installation and operating manuals.Liaise with suppliers to obtain tooling, manufacturing, assembly and shipping costs.Coordinate with Sales and QC departments for product testing and production schedules.Oversee and track production activities to ensure delivery deadlines.Create and file project closeout documentation.

III. REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

One or more of the below or equivalent:

Automotive engineering.Electrical/electronic engineering.Mechanical engineering.Production and manufacturing engineering.Civil Engineering

IV. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES

Proficient in 3D CAD.Excellent English communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office.Familiar with design parameters related to Automotive industry.Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures.Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time.
