Collections Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assigns collectors their work schedules and ensure they are followedAdheres to client and company work standards and policiesTrains and educates collection staff on strategies and procedures of his/her unit.Tracks all payments and notifies financial operations upon identifying any posting issues or disputes.Monitors account portfolio of assigned unitMotivates collection staff and maintain a positive work environmentevaluate the collectors on a monthly basis for performance informing the Department head.Monitor and forward time off requests to department head for approval, review time records and schedule changes, ensuring coverage in their unit.Compliance with regulatory laws in the conduct of collection.Uses communication style that encourages, motivates, and creates strong team spirit among employees.Speaks up, seeks help/assistance from concerned parties and immediately initiates process improvement when face with difficulties, obstacles or ambiguities of processes and other possible hindrances to effectively executing their tasks.Objectively conducts self-performance assessment and sets pro-active performance development goals.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree (preferred in business)At least 5 years’ experience in financial services industryStrong collections/operation experience requiredEffective decision making skillsStrong leadership skills and Good relationship managerExcellent communication skills – real collection backgroundDeveloped ability to motivate, coach and discipline staff
