Junior Lawyer (Litigation)

Job description

The Junior Lawyer shall be the unit head of Dispute Resolution Unit of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. The Dispute Resolution Unit is composed of Dispute Management Team and Investigation Team.As Unit Head, he/she shall spearhead the incident handling process and provide high quality legal clinic (advice, opinion, consultation, research, dispute settlement, and related activities) on company-related legal issues. He/she shall be responsible also in carrying out-effective investigation of fraud related incidents, fraud detection processes, and other special investigations.Being a member of the Philippines Bar, and part of his ancillary legal function, he may, upon proper authority, represent the company in all phases of the litigation proceeding (from investigation, drafting of pleadings, to pre-trial, trial-proper, settlement, appeal processes, and up to the execution of judgment), and in all the dealings of the company with different government agencies.Lastly, he is expected to perform such other functions inherent to, or necessary in, carrying out the foregoing duties and responsibilities along with and/or in close coordination with other departments to minimize potential lawsuits and to protect the name and reputation of the Company.

Job specifications:

Member of the Philippine BarAt least 2-year experience in Legal Practice (newly admitted members of the bar are encouraged to apply)Exposure in handling criminal, civil (collection), labor, commercial, dispute resolution, and similar casesExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, and legal researchCompetent in planning and problem solvingCapable of efficiently managing the unitAble to work efficiently with limited supervisionAble to adeptly finish assigned works even under pressureDemonstrates professionalism and remarkable ethical workmanshipHave knowledge of applicable laws and government issuances.
