Job description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures that merchandising standards for all merchandise in the store are met and maintained.See to it that all new items get into the floor on a timely manner and ensures proper handling of products to avoid shrinkage.Proper merchandise stock, pricing and code dates are properly communicated with the Buyers.SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans and directs merchandise moves / placement.Ensures proper display and cleanliness of area in accordance to set standards and procedures.Conducts splinter meetings with supervisors and staff and ensures regular floor walk with them.Motivates staff to peak efficiency and productivity and at the same time maintains a harmonious and pleasant working atmosphere.Checks daily Receiving Summary and review Run Book to determine how to merchandise each category andVerifies appointment versus order dates.Monitors FIFO System for coded merchandise.Check forklift checklist & pallet jack maintenance.Review zero report sales, sales ranking, low stock, overstock, top 50/100 & containers to be unloaded.Full mastery of the department's operations.
