Actuarial Supervisor

The opportunity

Manulife Philippines' Actuarial Valuation Team is seeking a self-motivated Actuarial Supervisor who is obsessed with delivering value, is forward-thinking, and excited to see the successful client partnerships through the products and services that we offer.

Responsibilities

Provide support for the company's planning and other management exercises through the performance of:

Worksheet updatesActuarial model runs

Provide pricing support for compensation and promo costing initiatives by the company for its various distribution channels

Provide support for the company's control protocols through the performance of:

Data reconciliation and validation of resultsAccess monitoring in valuation platforms and foldersTracking and vetting of valuation models

Reporting to one the Valuation leads, you will work closely with various internal parties such as Finance, Investments, Marketing, and Regional in the delivery of these tasks and providing business insights to key internal and externals stakeholders. You’ll be empowering them with the information they need to make solid business decisions for the future of our business, which is why we need you.

What we are looking for

Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics, related courseAt least two years of actuarial work experience in Insurance or Financial ServicesWith at least two actuarial exams and working towards associateship for the Actuarial Society of the Philippines/Society of ActuariesStrong analytical, communication, relationship, and time management skillsHighly motivated and self-driven attitude.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AXIS Actuarial Software (preferrable but not required)
