Job description

The Senior Accountant will assist with full cycle accounting duties that reside in the Cash Management, Accounts Receivables, or Accounts Payable functions. To be successful in this position, you must respond well to deadlines, effectively multi-task, and take ownership of assignments. You will work closely with the Controller and will be assigned a variety of responsibilities. There will be considerable interface with all levels of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform month-end closing tasks in accordance with the month end close calendarPrepare monthly journal entries and supporting documentation for all financial processesReconcile monthly balance sheet accounts to supporting documentation or subsidiary ledgerReview new client contracts for invoicing purposesPrepare and deliver monthly customer invoicesManage collections and open accounts receivableMonitor accounts payable ledger and execute payments to vendorsAssist with review of month end variances and preparation of financial reporting packageAssist with coordination and completion of annual audits o Identify, design, and implement process and system improvementsStay informed of changes to GAAP and/or STAT requirementsPrepare special reports and presentations as directedPerform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

5+ years of experience in a professional accounting roleBachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred or Associates degree with strong professional work experienceKnowledge of GAAP standardsStrong experience with journal entries and GL managementAccount analysis and reconciliation experience requiredProven ability to take initiative and be proactive, with the desire to grow and learnStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally at various levels within a companyExcellent Microsoft Excel skillsSelf-starter with efficient time management and organizational skillsAnalytical, detailed, flexible, and organizedExperience in Ecommerce and/or Amazon Seller Central is highly beneficial but not required
