Applications Engineer

This role works on ATE application development projects for customers; develop, debug and integrate application programs according to customer test specifications. Supports installation and ramp-up for production at customer sites, including on-site troubleshooting. Meets with customers and conducts technical training. Supports customers on and offsite, provides technical support for system sales and works on special projects. Cooperates with the Application Team worldwide to meet goals, objectives, and functions defined by management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

1. Development, Debug, and Integration of application program according to customer test specification

2. Conduct technical training internally and for customers according to the training guidelines and procedures at LTXC.

3. Report regularly and on demand about the status of the ongoing activities (e.g. monthly reports, trip reports, project reports)

4. On- and offsite support activities for customers (including ramp-up support for production at the customer site, onsite troubleshooting, technology, and methodical support for customers)

5. Cooperate with Sales and Marketing to support the business of system sales.

6. Self-education on trends relevant to engineering and technology. Adapt and implement necessary steps in consensus with your management.

7. Special projects, as assigned

8. Ensure smooth cooperation among all LTXC divisions and departments through teamwork

9. Cooperate with the Applications Team worldwide to meet goals, objectives, and functions as defined above.

10. Participate frequently in customer meetings and foster all levels of communication with the customer

11. Focus on existing business processes and their appropriate usage as well on continuous improvement of existing processes

12. Report SPRs (system performance reports) upon detecting any issues on the tester operating systems

WHO YOU ARE:

Education: Engineering / University degree or similar education

Experience: 3 to 5+ years experience in the ATE and/or semiconductor industry Skills/Technical Requirements: Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Physical Demands/Strengths: Prolonged periods of sitting at the computer terminal. Must be able to work in the vicinity or moving machinery to observe mechanisms. Occasional exertion, able to lift 30 pounds.

Job Conditions: High willingness to travel. Work in an office and manufacturing environment with constant or intermittent noise.

Protective Devices Required: PPE in required areas.
