R&D Engineer - Electro Acoustic

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Acoustics, or PhysicsMinimum of 3-5 years developing electromechanical, electroacoustic, electromagnetic, or electronic circuit productsExperience with electromechanical, or electromagnetic components or transducers preferredPrior experience and knowledge of audio or acoustic product development is an advantageExperience with circuit or FEA modeling tools like spice, Ansys, or Comsol is an advantage and exposure to electronic circuit design and testingExperience with frequency and time domain based lab equipment like Spectrum and Audio Analyzers, as well as, OscilloscopesExperience with automation software like Labview, and Matlab desirableMust be fluent in the English language (both written and oral)With strong leadership skills and sense of accountabilityWith demonstrated ability to solve issues effectively and efficientlyIs process- and change-oriented

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the development and test of new designs from idea through proof of concept, prototype and productionEngage closely in multiple development and test phases through full productionWork closely with other design and test engineers to test, and characterize designs at every stageHelp achieve design concepts that meet or exceed internal specification and/or customer requirementsActively work with senior engineering and management to deeply understand product and test specificationsModel circuit and transducer performance parameters using spice, and/or other multi physics modeling toolsHelp identify and innovate new or iterative products through collaboration with subject matter expertsHelp investigate the most innovative design methodologies, materials, tools, and practices to achieve the most competitive products in the market.Help push the extents of electromechanical and magnetic component and system development with cutting edge ideas, and design methodologiesLearn and understand manufacturing and QA challenges to assure highly modular and DFM driven products Successfully multi-task between multiple projectsAssist Application Engineering with technical support escalations that require deeper subject matter expertise
