about the Role: We are looking for Senior Accountants with experience in BAS & IAS preparation, financial statements and tax returns and other tax preparations, for different entities (companies, trusts, individuals, etc.).

The role requires knowledge about financial statements and filing of tax returns. You will be supporting AU Accounting firms. CPA certification is an advantage.

Qualifications:

CPA certification is an advantageAt least 2 years’ experience in AU Accounting and TaxationAt least 2 years’ experience in Xero;Excellent written and spoken communication skills.Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. Xero)Possesses an attitude of service and support..Ability to work independently, but also coordinate effectively as part of a team.Ability to quickly learn and adapt to in a fast-paced business.Mature disposition in appropriately managing sensitive situations.Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities: 

Preparation of Financial Statements, Tax Returns, and BAS/IAS for Individuals, Partnerships, Sole Traders, Companies and TrustsPreparation of business and taxation advice.BAS preparation and lodgment.Review distribution calculations, superannuation fund tax calculations and tax returns.Accurate and timely delivery of tax reporting deliverables.Assist in the consolidation of income tax returnsManagement of ATO reporting and liaising with the ATO.Preparation of FBT returns.Management accounting, budgeting and cash flow statements.Liaising with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients including the ATO and ASIC.Solid understanding of Payroll and lodging Payroll Tax obligations on behalf of clientsFostering and maintaining client relationships.
