A Little about Us
Höegh Autoliners is a global player in Ro/Ro deep sea transportation services and operates the greenest fleet in this segment. The company owns and operates approx. 40 Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) in global trade systems, making around 3 000 port calls yearly. Managed from a worldwide network of around 16 offices, our main customers are major manufacturers of new cars, heavy machinery and other rolling stock. We are working towards a goal of zero emissions by 2040 and have an exciting roadmap to achieve this.

You are a self-motivated professional who is currently looking for a new opportunity to develop your skills related to procurement processing. You are interested to develop your skills through performing analyses to maintain quality standards, preparing reports, and coordinating with suppliers. Through your years of experience you have acquired strong knowledge and background in purchasing activities and you have the ability to organise multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced work environment. You are keen to handle negotiations and collaborate with people who are as passionate as you when it comes to vessel operations. This is a good opportunity for you to develop your network and skills within the global shipping industry.
Main Responsibilities
Monitor requirements using procurement system and maintains accurate information such as purchase quantities and process, delivery dates, lead times, etc.Sourcing of commodity from global shipping marketPerform comparative analysis to ensure best price while maintaining quality standardsCoordinate with Vessel Managers and Accountants in monitoring and control of budget for assigned vesselsExplore alternate sources for goods and materials, and evaluate existing and new suppliersCoordinate with Technical Team and vessel crew for matters concerning ship requestsExecute purchasing requirements as established by global purchasing departmentCoordinate purchasing activities with other departments as necessaryPerform other duties related to the role as requiredMinimum Qualifications
Experience working as a Purchaser in the shipping industry for a minimum of 3 yearsHave noted expertise in the procurement fieldWith excellent communication skills in an international environmentHigh level of integrityWith strong negotiation, technical and interpersonal skillsExcellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasksWe believe that building and sustaining a diverse and inclusive environment for working and learning leads to a better workplace, better ideas and more inspiring conversations.
