Compliance Team Member

Purpose

The Compliance Team Member is responsible for reviewing materials to ensure they are compliant with relevant legislation including but not limited to Competition & Consumer Act and mandatory and voluntary Standards relevant to consumer products and advertising.

To perform these reviews, the Team Member must use the tools and guidelines provided by the Catch Group Compliance team.  

The role must be able to identify where compliance has not been achieved and communicate this to the relevant parties as directed. 

Performance Indicators

Compliance Review 

Review marketing materials including (but not limited to) events, banners, and promotions, to ensure compliance requirements are metFact check and Advert Proofing to ensure compliance with requirementsReview the Catch website to identify instances of non-complianceReview and update RRP and price comparison information for accuracy and ability to be substantiated lawfullyUse Catch guidelines for Advertising Compliance requirements to check advertising materials for compliance 

Reporting

Maintain statistics and populate report templates as directed

Training and Leadership 

Complete onboarding trainingComplete all assigned compliance training

Position Requirements

Experience

Customer service experience (desired)Knowledge of Australian Consumer Law compliance requirements (desired)Knowledge of the Australian Product Safety framework (desired)

Skills / Knowledge

 Strong process focus Good written communication skillsAbility to communicate with a range of stakeholdersKnowledge of Microsoft Office
