That means executing an author’s concepts professionally according to his or her specifications and requirements and creating visual images through Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator.A day in the life of an illustrator includes . . .Creating and rendering illustrations for books by incorporating illustration styles according to the requirements submitted by the author and the service level he or she purchasedPerforming colorization to the illustrations created and revisions when necessaryPreparing low resolution PDFs for the author to reviewProviding support to the book production team whenever necessaryThis job is perfect for you if you have . . .At least 1 year design work experienceGraphic or artistic skills and the ability to draw and detail illustrationsWorking knowledge in MS Office applications, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel, and the likeGood oral and written communication skills and above-average comprehensionA keen eye for detail and are able to work independently and within a self-directed team environmentA bachelor’s degree in design or related fields (preferred but not necessary)
