Ubiquity is looking for a Full-Stack Web Developer to join our team.
Our company delivers B2B business process outsourcing and advisory solutions across customer service, technology, and operations. Focused on transforming the customer experience through data, applied science, and an unprecedented passion for people, we offer deep industry and practical expertise across four continents on behalf of 200+ brands and counting.
Our team is looking to partner with a unicorn full-stack developer for designing (via Figma), building, and maintaining Ubiquity’s new website, built on WordPress and Elementor. The most immediate project will be to take back-end module creation and fronted design updates in-house from our advertising agency. After the successful execution of the initial overhaul, the right person will be responsible for continued maintenance and ongoing enhancement support.
Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of background designing both front-end elements of WordPress websites as well as specific coding language knowledge to develop backend modules. Please be prepared to show specific examples of websites you’ve created, pointing out custom front end and custom back end developed elements. Candidates ideally will have experience from the advertising agency world and have a portfolio of both front-end and back-end capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of technical documentation
- Hands-on development of web projects using PHP, Javascript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, SQL, web services, and third-party tools
- Implementation and maintenance of WordPress, including customized plug-in and template development
- Database design and maintenance for WordPress
- Monitor and maintain existing applications and websites to ensure performance and security
- Debug and repair issues identified by the team in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience working in a digital creative agency
- Extensive and proven experience with WordPress and Elementor (with a portfolio of websites built on these platforms and plugins)
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD)
- Understanding of technical development for search optimization (SEO)
- Understanding good UX and user journeys and being able to share a point of view on a direction for the website
- Strong knowledge of PHP, Javascript, jQuery, ReactJS, AJAX, HTML, CSS, XML, and SQL
- Familiarity with web development best practices, including cross-browser development, tablet, and mobile website development, responsive design
- Familiarity with development methods and processes, including version control systems (CVS, SVN or Git), bug tracking, Agile development processes, Use Case development, and Object-Oriented development
- Familiarity with relational databases and production processes
