Outpatient Medical Coders (Temporary WFH)

OUTPATIENT MEDICAL CODERS (CLINICAL VALIDATION)

Perform daily clinical validation reviews on client data for completeness and accuracy of coding procedures and diagnoses, as well as, modifiers utilizing both coding and clinical background to ensure appropriateness for reimbursementReview provider appeals based on received documentations utilizing coding and client specific guidelinesProvide feedback on possible changes to enhance system/clinical validation and appeals review process and efficiency

Qualifications:

Must have active certification / license in AAPC/AHIMA (CPC/CCS/CRC/CIC or equivalent)Must be a Registered Nurse (RN)Experience as a medical coder is a plus but not required--certified coders w/o experience are most welcome to apply to as wellAmenable to working rotational shiftTemporary WFH provided for this role (until further notice)
