US Accountant (Temp WFH)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepares day-to-day and month-end close entries including revenue, payroll, prepaid expenses, unbilled accounts receivable, and accrued liabilities.Prepares reconciliations for necessary balance sheet accounts and various other general ledger accounts, as needed.Lead/prepare month-end and year-end closing processes.Develops and maintains an understanding of the accounting operations within each assigned client. Obtains a working knowledge of the client’s accounting software packages (primarily Unanet – www.unanet.com). Responsible for recommending and enforcing the internal controls, policies, and procedures established by the client.Assists in preparation of the client’s year-end submissions.Interacts with client as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Required or equivalent thereof)Utmost discretion, strong ethicsMinimum 4 years’ experience in the accounting fieldStrong understanding of Accounting Principles, knowledge of GAAPAdvanced understanding of general and subsidiary ledgers and financial statementsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExtremely detail orientated with strong analytical skillsGood time management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives and client requirementsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAbility to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environmentComfortable working in a remote environment
