Chief Engineer

Administers all engineering/technical related services to ensure delivery of building services to the upkeep of the interior/exterior facilities of the building.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Establishes an efficient preventive maintenance program for all building equipment and facilities in order to prevent breakdown, save on repair cost and maximize useful life of all equipment.Manages and monitors implementation of projects and repairs in order to ensure timely completion and compliance to approved specifications, standard and quality.Leads Engineering department in recommending strategies and plans to improve engineering operations and services, and building integrity, and monitoring compliance to said programs to ensure efficient performance, quality of work and services.Leads the team in implementing and monitoring compliance to all safety requirements, guidelines and standard operating procedures in order to ensure preservation of life and property, and recommends improvements in policy or process as needed.Monitors compliance to regulatory requirements on building and engineering related items or works, ensuring the continued safety and security of the building and minimizing penalties.Provides guidance and direction in instituting ways to effectively manage costs while optimizing quality in all engineering works and purchases.Creates an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort, coaches, counsels and mentors employees, and manages individual and team performance to bring about expected results.

SPI also currently holds a 60% stake in Shangri-La at the Fort, one of the newest 5-star international hotels to open in the Philippines.
