Site Engineer

JOB SUMMARYAct as the main technical adviser on the construction site for electrical & auxiliary subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives.Carry out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of subcontractors - this is site-specific and may not be the case on all projects.Assess proposals against plans, design, and actual conditions prior to submitting proposals to cost engineers.Oversee the construction/completion of assigned units per trade.Ensure that the progress is within the approved project schedule.Guide the contractors on the ongoing activities to ensure that the target output will be met on time and within the quality parameters.Coordinate with the Materials Controller on the implementation schedule of the assigned units. Changes in dates shall be raised accordingly to avoid untimely purchases.Prepare the progress billing requests based on the completion under a billing scheme.Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specificationsOversee the selection and requisition of materials.Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.Assess and evaluate contractor performance.Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arisePrepare reports as required.Must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. Should have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.QUALIFICATIonSGraduate of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or any other related field; with professional license.With minimum five (5) years of work experience in constructionWith in-depth knowledge of engineering and construction practices Highly organized and able to multitasksWilling to start as soon as possible
