Design Lead

The Design lead is in charge of managing the consultants during the planning and implementation stages. His/her duties involve assisting the Sr. Planning Manager in design review of architectural and engineering package. He/She is responsible in ensuring the completeness and accuracy of plans with high level of quality.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

1. PLANNING 

Assist the Technical Project Team Head in managing design consultants (Foreign and Local)Assist the Technical Project Team Head in managing mixed-use project assigned to the teamCapable of managing projects with minimal supervisionCapable in performing design review of architectural and engineering packageAttend meeting and assist in determining project requirementsAssist the Technical Project Team Head in preparing project deliverablesTrack the progress and quality of work being performed by design consEffectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the Technical Project Team HeadAssist the Technical Project Team Head in reviewing Consultant's proposal to ensure that only fair and reasonable design fee is recommended for approvalKeep the Technical Project Team Head informed about the project status and issues that may impact timelines and budget

2. CONSTRUCTION

Attend Project Technical Group meeting on siteTrack and manage change notices and change ordersPeriodic site inspection to check construction are progressing to approved plans and specificationAssist in monitoring construction progress, schedule, budget and quality of worksAssist in turnover of completed projects to Property Management TeamArchiving plans and compilation for records/billing purposesSecuring billing-related documents of consultants, supplier, contractors, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science in Architecture graduateLicensed ArchitectMust have at least 5 years experience of diversified work experience in Design and Construction
