Description
Group Merchandising Director - Grocery
Primarily responsible for product strategy, category assortment, the growth of all the brands and the creation of products and categories including the private labels.Development of the overall merchandising strategy, balancing foresight, trends, and other business drivers across various sales channels.Success factors include leading the planning process in order to achieve or exceed financial targets by actively partnering and collaborating across the Supply Chain, Store Operations and Marketing.Identify and recommend new vendors, prepare vendor evaluations, and the conduct of regular vendor audits as against sales and gross profit growth opportunities.Continuous market monitoring and benchmarking (including reports and data gathering) to ensure alignment against competitors and allow us to maintain our presence in the market.People management & stakeholder collaboration - marketing, supply chain, operationsProfile
Proven leader with 10+ years' merchandising experience in the supermarket industry, including at least 5 years of being in a senior leadership positionRequired experience in handling fresh category & private labelSuccessful experience leading significant change in complex & matrixed environment - start up mentalityData driven, analytical, strategic approachJob Offer
