MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Handles the essential daily procedures that need to be followed in the WMD to prevent unplanned downtime.
2. Establishes and enforces best practices for all tasks and functions within all WMD facilities.
3. Schedules and coordinates inspections, repairs, testing and calibration of all instrumentation, electrical and mechanical systems.
4. Oversees all preventive maintenance work on all instrumentation, mechanical or electrical systems of the facilities to make sure that all requirements are complied with and that impact on the wastewater treatment operations is minimized.
5. Researches and develops planned enhancements for future instrumentation, mechanical and electrical equipment acquisitions and stays abreast with new technology and procedures.
6. Assists all departments in executing plans and projects for improvements, as well as monitors building systems, correct defective and inefficient operations through remedial maintenance and on time response during emergencies.
7. Uses necessary and available tools and procedures to facilitate the normal flow of activities, operations, services and information.
8. Responsible for purchasing parts, tools and supplies needed for the maintenance of all plant and equipment, and is responsible for maintaining records and inventory of the same.
9. Involved in the selection of third-party resources in responding to normal day to day work orders and emergencies.
10. Keeps and maintains daily log reports, investigates deficiencies and recommends steps to help solve problems and issues, and identify resources
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Graduate of Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic and Communication (ECE) Engineering course
Licensed Mechanical Engineer or Electrical Engineer.
WORKING ConDITIONS and OCCUPATIonAL HAZARDS
Work at 24/7 operations with rotating 8-hr shift schedule
On Call during weekend and/or off-duty hours.
Required to travel to field locations
