MINING ENGINEER

Conducts investigations of mineral deposits and undertakes calculations in collaboration with geologistsDetermines the most suitable method of mining the minerals taking into account factors such as the depth and characteristics of the deposit and its surroundingsPrepares plans for mines, including tunnels and shafts for underground operations, and pits and transport roads for open-cut operationsPrepares the layout for mine development and the procedurePlans and coordinates the employment of mining staff and equipment with regard to efficiency, safety, and environmental conditionsCoordinates with geologists and other engineers about the design, selection, and provision of machines, facilities, and systems for mining, as well as infrastructures such as access roads, water, and power suppliesCoordinates with the operations team to make sure there is proper implementation of the plansOversees the construction of the mine and the installation of plant and equipmentMakes sure that mining regulations are observedConducts research aimed at improving efficiency and safety of mines, and establishes first aid, safety protocols, and emergency services facilities at the minesPerform other tasks as requested by the immediate head QUALIFICATIONS License of mining engineer or equivalentWith existing experience in the mining industryAble to identify, analyze and solve problemsGood oral and written communication skillsAptitude for computing and designAble to think and act decisivelyWilling to adhere to the safety requirements of the operationWith people management experiencesWilling to be assigned in Cebu
