Our client is an international marine engineering company undertaking a large reclamation project near Pasay.

·        Monitor the proper organization of the laboratory area, including keeping the area and equipment clean and uncluttered

·        Ensures the laboratory personnel are equipped with the necessary tools and equipment

·        Supervising the performance and providing laboratory technicians with training in all aspects of laboratory work

·        Ensures that laboratory processes and personnel adhere to the requirements of the quality system for all areas of testing

·        Oversees calibration and maintenance of the laboratory equipment

·        Oversees sample preparation in order to establish mainly, but not limited to, the physical quantities of sand, soil, dredging spoil and rock

·        Monitor sample testing, laboratory supplies, storage, and disposal

Requirements:

·        Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent

·        Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in geotechnical soil testing and/or construction material testing

·        Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management position

·        Previous international work experience is an advantage

·        Experience in Quality Management Systems and Operations

·        Experience in carrying out soil laboratory tests (e.g. Sieve analysis, Atterberg test, and alike)

·        Knowledge of and experience in using the applicable protocols and methods for soil testing (e.g. ASTM, British standards)
